Beck’s next studio album has been delayed for a painstaking amount of time, turning fans into restless children on the road to Disney World. With the original date supposed to be in late 2014, then 2015, then the first half of 2016, then October of this year and now in November. With a rumor of another push back in the near future, according to Stereogum it seems we will never get to Disneyworld. Thankfully, a couple of old never released songs have come to the surface to help relax fans for the rest of this perpetual car ride. Only one of the songs has an official title, “Curfew,” while the other track is an untitled instrumental. Both songs can be heard below, via Facebook.

According to Consequence of Sound, Beck had contributed this music to D.J. Caruso’s thriller, I Am Number Four. The science fiction teen romance about six aliens doing what they can do survive on earth, released back in 2011. “Curfew” follows steady drum beat with a gargled screeching guitar and Beck’s faintly distinct vocals. While the untitled track is strictly instrumental, it creates a feeling of high intensity and an indescribable rush of suspense.

There has also been a handful of different songs that Beck has teased during his mysterious album delay. These three songs are titled “Dreams”, “Wow” and “Up All Night.“

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
