The Bob’s Burgers Music Album Featuring Covers from St. Vincent, The National and More Announced for May 2017 Release

Fans of the animated series Bob’s Burgers will know wholeheartedly that music plays a big role in the show, with some sort of goofy song tied to the episode playing out the closing credits.

For fans who always wanted a little more, today is your lucky day.

Sub Pop will release The Bob’s Burgers Music Album on May 12. The album is a massive collection of the 107 songs from the first 107 episodes. All of the songs will feature performances by the main cast members including Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) and Linda (John Roberts) and their children Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman) and Louise (Kristen Schaal), who perform the songs in the show during the credits.

In addition to the main cast members, the album will feature several of the show’s recurring guests including Aziz Ansari, Sarah Silverman, Zack Galifankas and several others. Musical guests Cyndi Lauper and Carly Simon will also make an appearance. Not enough for you? The album will also include five “Bob’s Buskers” covers of the original show songs by artists such as St. Vincent (who’s been dabbling in film and television lately), The National, Lapsley and Stephin Merrit of Magnetic Fields.

The album will be released in all three standard formats (sorry cassette collectors): 2xCD, 3xLP+7,” as well as digital. The deluxe box set version will include the three LP’s in “condiment-colored” vinyl, aka ketchup red, mustard yellow and relish green, and will also have a hardbound lyrics book with artwork from the show, posters, and several other goodies.
