J. Cole Announces Summer 2017 Tour Dates

Beloved hip-hop star J. Cole has announced a relentless tour across the United States and Europe in support of his 2016 release, 4 Your Eyez Only. The six month long stint on the road will begin on June 6 in South Carolina, not far from his hometown of Fayetteville, NC.

The rapper made the announcement via his Twitter account.

Under the pressure to release an album that fared as well commercially and critically as his masterpiece 2014 Forest Hills Drive, 4 Your Eyez Only has performed well. Just like its predecessor, J. Cole’s fourth studio album features no guest rappers . Whether it follows 2014 Forest Hills Drive as another rap record to go platinum without guests after J. Cole broke that streak with 2014 Forest Hills Drive remains to be seen. With 490,000 copies sold and 755,000 album-equivalents, it seems like it is only a matter of time before it goes platinum as well.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
