Roots Picnic Philadelphia Announces 2017 Lineup Featuring Pharrell x The Roots, Lil’ Wayne and Solange

Roots Picnic is a fairly new edition to the festival circuit hosted in the legendary hip-hop group’s hometown of Philadelphia. Today, the festival announces its 2017 lineup featuring artists like Pharrell, Solange, Lil’ Wayne and much more. The 2017 edition of the Philadelphia-based festival will take place on Saturday, June 3 2017 and will be located at the Festival Pier in Penn’s Landing. Another iteration of the festival is slated to take place October 1 & 2 in New York City’s iconic Bryant Park.

Last year’s festival included artists like Anderson .Paak, Future, Swizz Beatz, Leon Bridges, Usher, DMX and of course, The Roots. Last year, Tariq Trotter took the time to talk about the festival and The Roots in an interview with mxdwn.
