In a Twitter post made by Manila Concert Scene earlier today, readers were reminded of the magic that occurred during the GoodVybes Fest a year ago. The festival hosted acts such as CHVRCHES, Stars, Oh Wonder and Passion Pit. The latter responded to the recent Twitter post in recollection of the “amazing” crowd and, unfortunately, a claim at still not receiving payment for the gig. Both Twitter posts can be seen below.
@Manilaconcerts @goodvybesfest welp, i still haven't been paid. however, that crowd was amazing. love you, manila.

According to Bandwagon, The President of Vybe Productions, Nico Bacani, responded to Michael Angelakos’, aka Passion Pit, accusations.
“It’s unfair of Michael to make sweeping statements like that, Bacani said. “Especially because he didn’t make it clear if he was referring to his agency or GoodVybes. We have paid his agency.”
The President then went on to explain that Passion Pit requested some special accommodations for the show that would come out of the band’s gig payment. The request, that Vybe provided, was a rehearsal tent with the same gear specs that the stage set would have available prior to the band’s arrival. Upon arrval, Passion Pit ran into technical difficulties with the equipment due to a software incompatibility. They then retracted their agreement with Vybe Productions after the festival and requested that they do not deduct the costs of the tent from their gig payment. On these grounds, Bacani assured that the agency paid 84% of the fees, as the cost of the tent sums up to 16% of these.
Vybe Production has also taken to Twitter regarding the situation, seen below.
We would like to clarify we have paid the talent fees & airfare for @passionpit & that if ther r any pending, we would be glad to resolve

Angelakos has responded to the statement by Vybe Productions in a series of tweets spanning from yesterday to today:
well, here you go. https://t.co/eTzg530CDE

see, i've got this thing: to fly around the world to play one show, it's a big deal! kinda messes with my brain a bit, my drs advise against
— Passion Pit (@passionpit) February 20, 2017
but when you have a bunch of fans someplace and there's money there so you can afford it, you make it work. cool, so we do that.
— Passion Pit (@passionpit) February 20, 2017
then a bunch of things happen, which i won't go into, but i'll say that, you know, festivals can be dangerous. you have to know yr shit.
— Passion Pit (@passionpit) February 20, 2017
anyway, we play. we're still alive. and we go home. this is when, usually, artists already get paid. we hadn't they were still settling.
— Passion Pit (@passionpit) February 20, 2017
festivals cost a lot of money. i have a lot of respect for people who run festivals. so long as they pay, you know, within a year. that's it
— Passion Pit (@passionpit) February 20, 2017
anyway, i just commented on a tweet that reminded me of a show that i'm still waiting to get paid for. i've got bills to pay, too! oh well.
— Passion Pit (@passionpit) February 20, 2017
i mean, ppl who made the "statement" can explain themselves to my team. i don't need to make a statement defending myself. i already have.
— Passion Pit (@passionpit) February 20, 2017
for their sake, i will not go and explain the whole situation. i was being vague for a good reason — almost being too kind, actually.
— Passion Pit (@passionpit) February 20, 2017
artist randomly calls out promoter regarding an injustice. promoter spews bs as a "statement" framing artist as liar. artist rolls eyes.
