DragonForce Announces New Album Reaching Into Infinity for May 2017 Release

British metal band DragonForce has announced a new album called Reaching Into Infinity, set to be released on May 19 via Metal Blade Records. Produced by Jens Bogren, the band spent time recording their seventh studio album in places all over the world like Sweden, Britain, and California in the United States. Bass player Frederic Leclercq described going back fourth flying from festivals to the studio, and expressed the toll it took on band members as he noted they each lost their temper at least once throughout the music making process.

He also explained how the band approached their music a little differently this time, saying “I think we have proven that playing fast was something we were good at, so this time I wanted to bring even more diversity into our music,” Fred continues. “It’s great to challenge ourselves instead of staying in a comfort zone, and I really wanted to experiment with Marc’s vocals. I think people are going to be surprised at his brutality!”

DragonForce will be performing at Chicago Open Air on July 15 where American fans will be able to see their favorite English metal band play live. No doubt the band will be playing their newest material, a project that captures the essence of the social and political climate in today’s society.

“The title of the album explains pretty much what we are trying to do with our music,” Fred concludes. “Today’s world is really crazy – there is fear of the future, uncertainty. But the power of music is infinite, and it can give strength and hope to people.” Check below to see the full track list to the upcoming album and make sure to buy your copy when it hits the stores.
