Three-time Grammy Award winning country folk and Americana singer Shawn Colvin will be performing at SPACE in Evanston for two evenings in May.
Colvin won her first Grammy in 1991; Best Contemporary Folk Album for Steady On. She rose to prominence in 1997 when she released the widely acclaimed single “Sunny Came Home”. The song went on to win Grammy awards in 1998 for Song of the Year as well as Record of the Year. After the success of the album, she released several albums over the years including a greatest hits collection in 2004. Her most recent solo album, Uncovered, featured popular cover songs from other musicians like Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon and John Fogerty. She then teamed up with Steve Earle to release their LP, Colvin and Earle, which was released last year.
