HEALTH have just released a follow up to their 2010 collection, DISCO2, with a new remix album, rightfully titled DISCO3. This is the first album by the LA noise rockers since Death Magic two years ago. The new album was released via Loma Vista and features reworked versions of Death Magic tracks by Preoccupations, Purity Ring, Born in Flamez, Vessel, and more.

According to Pitchfork, the remix album will include three news songs. The reason for the new songs was described by HEALTH‘s Jake Duzsik simply, “because every remix records needs bangers.”

The new album was released via a “reverse telethon” that was hosted by Pauly Shore. The telethon was brought to us via Funny or Die and the whole show can be seen below. HEALTH used the show to answer questions, as well as to promote the new album. In series of social media posts and in some music videos, such as “L.A. Looks,” HEALTH advertised a number that fans could call. They would then save your number after your call and using these numbers to call back during this telethon, hence the “reverse” title that the telethon got. See below for a full tracklist.

Track List:

01. Euphoria
02. Men Tomorrow (Preoccupations Remix)
03. Slum Lord
04. Crusher
05. Courtship II (Roly Porter Remix)
06. Salvia (Marcus Whale Remix)
07. Victim II
08. Victim (Born in Flamez Remix)
09. Dark Enough (Vessel Remix)
10. Life (Purity Ring Remix)

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
