The Pretenders Announces Summer 2017 Tour Dates

The Pretenders are on tour with Stevie Knicks and they have just added their own Headlining stops. The Power house 80’s rock group led by Chrissie Hyndes has been touring the world for decades and obviously shows no sign of stopping. With 27 stops with the bulk being of the performances in March the group is letting everyone know they are energized and ready to rock. This tour is in support of their latest release Alone which was released in October of last year.

The Pretenders were formed in 1978 by Chrissie Hynde a rock guitarist legend, the bands self titled debut album climbed to number one in the U.K. and reached the top 10 in the U.S. The band had continued success with their second release Pretenders 11 in 1982, but following the death of band mate James Homneyman-Scott, the band went on hiatus. After regrouping and amping the band with new members Robbie Mcintosh and Malcom Foster (Manfred Mann) in 1983, the band released Learning to Crawl. Although the regrouping the band would fail to reach any great commercial success until the album Last of the Independents that featured the track “I’ll Stand By You” which saw its way onto the top 40 chart. The band would go onto to see many different levels of commercial success and various internal changes. Chrisse Hynde the back bone of the long run that The Pretneders have seen released a solo album in 2014 Stolckholm and then re banded the group again releasing Alone in october of 2016.
