Metallica has just announced that they will take their latest album Hardwired…To Self Destruct on North American tour this year. The tour is titled WorldWired Summer 2017 Tour and will feature support from Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat. A full list of tour dates and ticketing information can be found below.

The WorldWired Summer tour is produced by concert mammoths Live Nation and is set to kickoff on May 10th in Baltimore, MD at M&T Bank Stadium. Before its conclusion on August 16 at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, AB, the tour will have the group shooting all over North America in a sort of crisscrossed fashion. This will be the Hall of Fame inductees first proper North American tour since 2009 and has already seen some sold out shows.

For those looking to secure their tickets early, the official credit card of the tour is Citi and a special pre-sale will be held beginning on February 14 at 11:00 AM local time for cardmembers.

There are a couple special offers for fans that have been made possible by the band to accompany ticket purchases. One of them include your choice of a standard physical or standard digital copy of Metallica‘s new album. Details on where to redeem this offer will be presented to the buyer by Warner Music Artist Services within 14 days of their purchase. The second offer comes from a partnership between the band and CID Entertainment to present fans with the opportunity at special enhanced experiences. These experiences include premium tickets and amenities, such as: early access to the venue, a visit to the ‘Memory Remains’ exhibit of memorabilia, and meet and greets.

Hardwired…To Self Destruct is the tenth studio album by the Grammy Winning heavy metal band and was released as a double album on November 18, 2016 by their vanity label Blackened Recordings. The album debuted at No. 1 around the world, selling over an impressive 800,000 copies worldwide in its first week. The album was produced by Greg Fidelman, front man James Hetfield, and drummer Lars Ulrich.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
