Former As I Lay Dying Vocalist Tim Lambesis Is Out of Jail

Tim Lambesis has been serving a six year term after being arrested for hiring a hitman to kill his ex-wife, but after two and a half years, he has been released.

The artist has been continuously pleading not guilty during the time the investivagtion was going on but about year he pleaded guilty. Five months after the being arrested, the artist goes to hearing in which its been said that a thousand dollars, a picture of the wife and the code to the gates had been given to the third party. As a result of the situation, the artist had attempted to make bail. At first, the artist had delayed the idea of bailing as the lawyer had said that the reason was steroid use, but later on the artist had paid two millions for bail.

According to Metal Injection, before the artist was arrested, he had posted a statement on Tumblr saying that one day he will tell his side of the story. He said “Some day I will be able to tell the story of all that has happened in detail to get the facts straight and representing the many sides to this fairly complex story. In the mean time, many of you will make your assumptions and take the sensationalism of the press focusing on selling points at face value.I can’t stop that from happening, and I’ve learned something by not having that kind of control. The people who want understanding will wait until the formalities and trials are done. Strangely enough, those type of minds are the people least likely to be judgmental even if I am found guilty. Those reporting from the courtroom will only pass along select facts and the case itself will only require select facts that do not encompass the entirety events. On the other hand, the seemingly larger percentage of people delight in voicing their opinion even though I personally have never said a word about even a single detail related to my case.”

Lambesis has been moving on ever since his discharge on Dec. 17, 2016 to the Division of Adult Parole Operations, according to a representative of the California Department Of Corrections And Rehabilitation who was reached out to by Alternative Press. Ever since he’s release, the artist hasn’t been really active in album production or touring. In an interview with George Lynch, the guitarist of As I Lay Dying, had said “He’s out, he’s got a mega record deal, he’s got a book deal, everything’s lined up for him. I mean, he’s gonna skate through life. Everybody else is suffering. His wife is living in fear, his children are living in fear. His band doesn’t have a pot to piss in.”
