For fans of Soulwax, the first half of the 2010’s have been pretty dry in terms of fresh material.

While the band released the original soundtrack for Belgica last year, where they recorded as 15 fictional bands, the band was fairly quiet when it came to original releases.

However in November things turned around when they released a new song entitled “TRANSIENT PROGRAM FOR DRUMS AND MACHINERY.” Now, fans can finally rejoice with the news that the new track will have home this March 24, when Soulwax releases their new album (the first in over ten years), FROM DEEWEE through Play It Again Sam records.

After some time planning and rehearsing the album, the band sat down and recorded the album in its entirety in one take just two days ago at Dewaele studios in Belgium.  The album will hope to capture the spirit of their Transient Program for Drums and Machinery show (which saw the release of similarly named track) which they took out on the road last year.

In addition to the new album, Soulwax will also make an appearance at this year’s Blue Dot festival along with Orbital and Alt-J.
