Sufjan Stevens Playing Collaborative Show @ National Sawdust 2/18

Just leave it to Brooklyn to introduce a place like National Sawdust, who describes their DISRUPT series as being “about artist + audience taking risk, causing reactions, triggering emotion, and finding the present together.” And to get this series going they have an impressive collaboration of musicians that include Jan St. Werner (of Mouse on Mars, Sufjan Stevens, Kid Millions (Oneida, Man Forever) and Benjamin Lanz (Beirut, The National). The venue also explains that “this quartet, along with some special guests, will enjoy improvised moments of togetherness, communicating devices, turning knobs, mashing buttons, stomping boxes and dragging horns around a skyscraped room.” This event will surely be full of unique surprises.
