Idina Menzel embarks on her world tour of over 50 cities on March 29th. The tour will kick off in Japan and wrap up in Phoenix in September.
A New York City native, she attended the Tisch School of Arts to perfect her amazing talent. Menzel then went on to enjoy lots of success from acting on TV shows, in movies and on the Broadway stage. Most notably as Maureen Johnson in Rent, the Wicked Witch of the West in Wicked and of course as the voice of Queen Elsa in Disney’s Frozen. The mezzo-soprano singer won both an Academy Award and a Grammy Award for the song Let it Go from the movie’s soundtrack. She has been praised for being able to animate a song with her impressive vocals and on-stage persona.
The singer/songwriter continues to release original music and perform live shows. Her fifth album titled idina. was released in 2016. Personally, I could listen to this woman sing all day. My sister has been a lifelong fan and I have always been surrounded by her music. I enjoy seeing her achievements grow and I will definitely be taking my sister to this concert!
