Crystal Bowersox is playing at City Winery Chicago on April 9th.
The singer/songwriter gained notoriety after her time on the ninth season of America Idol where she finished second in the competition. After her success on the show she went on to release two solo albums. Farmer’s Daughter, her debut album, was released in 2010 followed by All That For This in 2012. While Bowersox hasn’t enjoyed the level of commercial success of her fellow Idol albums, she continues to tour and delight crowds with her music.
Crystal also makes sure to use her voice to help a cause that is close to her heart. The 31 year old – who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age six – works with Lilly Diabetes to help spread awareness and her knowledge of diabetes self-management to other children.
The blonde and former dreadlocked musician is always a delight to see perform. Don’t miss her at City Winery on April 9th.
