The Bluedot festival, the infant festival that promotes “music, science, arts, culture and the exploration of space” located on the grounds of the Jodrell Bank Observatory in the UK has just announced their lineup for 2017.

While 2016’s lineup (also their inaugural lineup) contained impressive names such as DJ Shadow, Chemical Brothers and Underworld, this year is looking equally as impressive. Most notable is the return of Orbital after a five year hiatus. Veteran alt-rock group the Pixes will also grace the stage after their excellent 2016 release, Head Carrier and the subsequent tour to support it. Indie rock/study playlist regulars Alt-J, who are currently working on their latest album and attending a slew of festivals, will also make an appearance after the release of their Mercury Prize winning An Awesome Wave.

While the impressive list of artists is the main reason people attend the festival, it is far from a simple music festival. In addition to the concerts, the festival also boasts exhibitions in art, culture and science. One of the standout segments of the festival will have Star Wars fans excited. “The Men Behind the Mask” will dive into the creation of arguably the world’s most loved villain, Darth Vader. The segment will feature Brian Muir, Ralph McQuire and the actor himself, David Prowse, as they describe the experience inside Vader’s helmet.

But you’re here for music, and the lineup beyond the headliners will not disappoint. Standouts like Soulwax, Warpaint, Factory Floor and a slew of others will join the diverse lineup to provide festival goers with plenty of entertainment to go with all that education.

You can purchase your tickets here (they go on sale Friday, February 3) and the full lineup below.
