Punk rock band, Agent Orange, first made waves in the United States punk scene back in 1980, with the release of their single “Bloodstains,” which appeared on their self-released debut 7”. Throughout the years, Agent Orange have cycled through many members—guitarist and lead vocalist Mike Palm being the only founding member of the band’s current line-up. The group has won over many dedicated fans through their incorporation of other rock sub-genres such as surf rock and metal.
Agent Orange went on to release their debut full-length record, Living in Darkness, in 1981 on Posh Boy Records. Many fans consider the album an essential punk record, due to its fast and aggressive “skate punk” nature. They released two EP’s over the next few years, and eventually dropped the 1986 album, This Is the Voice, on Enigma Records. A collection of songs entitled, Greatest and Latest, released in 2000 through Cleopatra records—which also featured three brand new recordings from the group.
Later this month, Agent Orange will play alongside Guttermouth and The Queers, at Grizzly Hall on the 16th.
