Michael Kiwanuka fans pay attention! If the cancelled North American Tour back in December 2016 disappointed you throw your sorrows away. Kiwanuka is elated to announce the rescheduling of the cancelled tour!

The tour will commence May 18 at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and includes Festival stops at Governors Ball and Bonnaroo Music Festival. In addition to the revamped tours original planned stops Kiwanuka has added previously unplanned tour stops in Washington DC, Montreal, Indianapolis, Atlanta and Nashville.

Michael Kiwanuka is pleased (and relieved) to announce that he’ll be rescheduling his cancelled North American Tour from December of 2016. Kiwanuka who was suffering from vocal chord damage and tonsillitis has been cleared to play shows again. If you are interested in purchasing tickets to the tour check out our link at the bottom of the story.

The recently two times BRIT nominated artist had to cancel the 2016 tour due to damage vocal chords and tonsillitis, of which he has been cleared as okay to perform. The 2016 tour was in support of his second studio album release Love and Hate which received high critical acclaim, receiving nomination for NYE Awards album of the year. Jon Pareles of the NY Times wrote “Michael Kiwanuka’s second album, ‘Love & Hate,’ is a sustained, stylized plunge into despair: plaints of isolation, doubt, lovelessness, racial injustice, longing, hopelessness and a certain resolve despite it all”, and NPR said “Kiwanuka’s vocals are as tender as ever, yet laced with a heavy dose of attitude. This is full-throated soul with swagger.”
