With festivals popping up left and right, it’s hard to find a new festival with a truly eye-grabbing lineup. But Fortress Festival, a self described “brand new premier music festival for North Texas” has a truly undeniable set of names backing it up. Alongside one of rap’s hottest duos (well-known for their energetic live sets), Run the Jewels, Fortress Festival will be featuring the experimental multi-genre producer Flying Lotus as well as Slowdive, one of shoegaze’s frontrunners, who have just announced their first album in 22 years.

Fortress Festival is a two-day festival that will be held in Fort Worth’s world renowned Cultural District on April 29th & 30th, 2017. Two outdoor stages will feature a number of acclaimed headliners in addition to the names mentioned above. A variety of sought-after up-and-coming acts and several local bands are part of the lineup as well.

The festival is a partnership between Fortress Presents and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Margin Walker will be taking care of artist booking, after organizing Austin’s celebrated Fun Fun Fun Fest and now the eagerly anticipated Sound on Sound Festival.

Alongside the music, Fortress will “take advantage of the diversity of venues available to create a cultural experience that will include multiple creative disciplines.” Fortress Festival seems determined to provide North Texas with a festival experience comparable to that of any well-established festival in a metropolitan area.

You can purchase various 2-day General Admission passes and 2-day VIP tickets here.
