Paula Cole @ City Winery (4/22)

Paula Cole’s most commercially successful album, This Fire, just celebrated its twentieth anniversary in October.  The album produced the single “Where Have All the Cowsboys Gone?” (which reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100) and “I Don’t Want to Wait” which was used for the theme song of teen soap Dawson’s Creek.  In 1997, Cole received the Best New Artist Grammy and then went on to receive seven more nominations throughout her career.

Paula Cole got her first big break when she joined Peter Gabriel’s 1993-94 Secret World Live Tour where she replaced Sinead O’Connor on the tour.  She gained a love for performing and has since released seven solo studio albums.  She has the musical ability to change up her sound but her story-telling style remains constant.

Since breaking on to the scene over twenty years ago, Paula Cole has continued to release quality music and give heartfelt performances.  She has proven to be a strong female who is not going to let the entertainment industry dictate her career.  It seems that we all have a lot of nostalgia for the 90’s and Paula’s voice will definitely remind you of “the good ole days”.  Catch her at City Winery on April 22nd; ticket info below.
