Wire Announces New Album Silver/Lead for March 2017 Release

On March 31, the 40 anniversary of Wire’s debut performance, the English rock band will be releasing their new album Silver/Lead via their Label Pinkflag. However, their sound has slightly changed from their days in the 80s. While it’s still as influential as it was years ago, it now has an additional psychedelic and modern twist. The album will be the icons’ 15 studio album, another addition to Wire’s long list of successful records. You can find the whole track-list and album art below.

In 2016, Wire released Nocturnal Koreans and The Quietus called it “A crackre and sounds defiantly modern.” In 2015, their self titled album Wire was called “really well turned, potent and crisp,” by The Guardian. Of course, the music has been well received by fans all over the globe as well, influencing bands such as Blur and Sonic Youth.
