Way Out West Festival has announced their line up for their 2017 event held on August 10 – 12th. This year the lineup with include artists such as Major Lazer, who will also be performing at the Reading and Leads festival in late August, Pixies, who will be performing at the Shaky Knees festival in mid-May, and Lana Del Rey, who released song called “Super Movie” over the summer.
Way Out West Festival is an annual summer festival held in Gothenburg, Sweden specifically in the city of Slottsskogen. The festival started in August 2007 in a 137 hectare park in the central part of the city. Though there is variety in the festival, there is a main focus in the genres of rock, electronic and hip-hop. The festival supports the concept of club Stay Out West, which could be found in various parts of the city after the performance part. As the festival grew, artists such as Kanye West, No Age, St. Vincent, and Tinie Tempah have performed.
Along with the lineup this year, there are five different areas where the audience can go to, this being clubs. These locations are Gothenburg Studios, Bananpiren, Pustervik, Hagakyrkan and Nefertiti. There is age limit depending on the location as all these areas except Hagakyrkan will have the limit of being 18 or older. Hagakyrkan has an age limit of 13.
