LISTEN: The National Debut New Song “Turtleneck” at Planned Parenthood Benefit Show

Often times an artists will use his or her’s music to express themselves. Further elaborating on the opinion they have on current topics.

According to CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND, The National performed at a benefit for Planned Parenthood in Washington D.C. While performing the rock music group debuted a new song titled “Turtleneck”.

Most likely an unreleased track off of their upcoming album it represents a departure from a sound that fans of the group would probably expect.

“Women should be able to make their own decisions about their bodies and health. This is a basic human right, and we’re at the very beginning of a long and tough battle to defend these basic rights,” said frontman Matt Berninger in a statement prior to the event. “A concert in DC, inspiring people to take action, seems like a pretty good way to kick it off.”
