Okkervil River have just announced that they will have special limited tour dates where they perform as an acoustic trio. After the release of their widely acclaimed 2016 record Away, Okkervil River’s acoustic trio will feature fan requests and rarities. The band consists of Will Sheff (vocals, guitar), Will Graefe (vocals, guitar) and Ben Lazar-Davis (vocals, bass). These will be the first trio shows that the band has ever attempted limited to four intimate concerts in unusually small rooms creating a truly personal experience.
After having such a rewarding year from the release of their latest album Away, the band decided to have some fun and truly have a personal show with requests and surprises. With this announcement of these tour dates, Okkervil River just debuted a new video for the track “Mary On A Wave” from the album Away. The video is directed by Sheff himself. Clips keep showing an desolate farm colony on Staten Island and at trailing behind a small boy going on an interesting path.
