Singles Soundtrack Set For Expanded Reissue and Vinyl Box Set for Film’s 25th Anniversary

Singles, the 1992 film, has reached its 25th anniversary and Sony Music will be celebrating this event with a expanded reissue and vinyl box.

The movie was directed by Cameron Crowe and starred actors such as Bridget Fonda, Campbell Scott, Kyra Sedgwick, and Matt Dillon. The hour and a half movie centers around the romantic young lives of Generation X. As the film continues it begins focusing on the romantic lives of two couples as well as their friends and acquaintances.

According to Consequence Of Sound, this soundtrack features artists like Chris Cornell, who months back joined Cat Stevens onstage in Los Angeles, Paul Westerberg, who created another band last year after the second break up of The Replacements, The Lovemongers, Soundgarden, Jimi Hendrix, Screaming Trees, The Smashing Pumpkins, Citizen Dick, Truly, Blood Circus, Mike McCready, Alice in Chains, Mother Love Bone, Mudhoney and Pearl Jam, who recently paid $70,000 to the man who saved Eddie Vedder’s life.

There will be two discs that comes with the soundtrack, with disc one having 13 tracks and disc two having 18. Disc one has a variety of artists having one or two maximum present in the tracklist, while disc two concentrates on Chris Cornell’s, with six songs, and Paul Westerberg’s, with four songs, work. Both discs will also include demos and instrumental versions of songs. There is a possible February 17th release, but this is still unsure due to a previous listing saying that the release date was originally August 2016. The artwork and track list are listed below.

With the idea of the “Seattle scene” the movie helped create Chris Cornell, according to BlabberMouth, had told told The Pulse of Radio “It’s not one of those scenes that came and went. There’s still bands that make music with just as much enthusiasm, with kind of the same purity. I feel like I still carry that with me, the inspiration that came then, and really everybody else that was part of it, that’s still making music and still making records, which is most of them, I feel like they feel the same way too. I feel like the records are still vibrant, and the bands are still vibrant, and the music’s still great.”
