Today music group The Flaming Lips have arrived and not empty handed. Today they released a lyric video for their song “We A Famly”. The Flaming Lips are not performing along on the new song as singer Miley Cyrus makes an appearance on the song adding backup vocals.
The new track appears on the new album OCZY MLODY which will be released by Warner Bros on January 13th.
Many artists are looking for ways to get people more interested in their upcoming releases and The Flaming Lips have chosen a familiar way to do so. “We A Famly” is available as an instant download if you pre-order the album on itunes and Amazon or any type of format from the Lips official website. Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips had this to say,
“… at first this song was intended to be part of the Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz record.. Then we (her and us) lost interest in it… It was, back then, very slow and serious… But after speeding it up (a lot) and adding the galloping “We A Famly” sing-a-long bit we thought it was dorky enough and fun enough to present to the world. And… We (Cyrus and us) really do say to each other, all the time, ‘We A Famly.'”
The video is a colorful and animated trip down a highway as the lyrics pass by similar to watching trees pass by as you drive in a car.
OCZY MLDY will be The Flaming Lips 17th studio album.
