American rock band My Morning Jacket have revealed a few tour dates for 2017 in both Mexico and at the Electric Forest festival in Michigan. Electric Forest Festival is an eight-day two-weekend event that usually focuses on electronic music and has the likes of Bassnectar on residency. This year the festival has promised every day will be different from each other which is great news for My Morning Jacket fans because with 4 dates at the festival it suggests there will be 4 completely different sets given from the band over the two weekends of the festival.

If any band is up to the challenge of having to play 4 completely different shows 4 days in a row it’s my My Morning Jacket. The band that is known for their live performances and should definitely bring something unique to the electronic heavy festival. Their ability to perform as a live band is unrivaled after years of honing their craft on the road. My Morning Jacket really knows how to turn each show into something special by surprising the crowd with rare songs, playing unexpected covers, and perform unique versions of their best-known material.

Recently My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James sat with Rolling Stone to discuss his solo material as well as new ventures for the band. He told the magazine “I’m on kind of a completely different path now for the next Jacket record. I pretty much have it written, but we just need to record it, which we’re gonna do in the spring.” So if there is any hope that means new music is on the way as well as more tour dates!
