The song “A Thousand Miles” launched Vanessa Carlton’s career back in 2002 and she soon became a household name. Since then she’s released six studio albums and has developed her music from catchy pop to a more intimate and trippy sound. The relaxing melodies allow you to get lost in your own thoughts as she coos beautiful lyrics and plays intricate piano notes.
Her most successful record, Liberman, was released in 2015 to almost unanimous critical praise (Rolling Stone, Esquire and Entertainment Weekly to name a few more). “The whole message of the album is expressing a lot of philosophies about my life, peace, pain, and happiness over the past ten years,” Carlton says of the album. The record was recorded while on tour in her hometown of Nashville and released in October 2016.
