In a post from prog-metal band Vektor’s official Facebook page, the band is parting ways with, well, everyone except guitarist/singer David DiSanto.
Drummer Blake Anderson, guitarist Erik Nelson and bassist Frank Chin are all parting ways with DiSanto. While the band had received lots of praise from the annual year-end lists, it appears that DiSanto will be the only one to continue going forward.
In a follow-up post, DiSanto reassured fans that this is not the end of Vektor, merely a change in personnel.
“I started writing Vektor songs in 1999, and I’m still writing Vektor songs. As long as I live, Vektor will not die,” DiSanto said.
While the reasons for the split are unknown, it appears that for now there is no ill-will between DiSanto and the rest.
“I appreciate everything that Blake, Frank and Erik have done to help this ship take off. I also appreciate all of my band mates before them: Willy, Pablo, Adam, Mike and Kian.”
