Run The Jewels Surprise Release New Album RTJ3

The music industry has been struggling with how to keep up with the rapid advancement of the internet. Artists are becoming more restless with their music. No longer wishing to remain a part of a long in place system powered by record label executives. In recent years, a number of artists have looked to different strategies to release music to their faithful fan base. Beyonce was the first to release a surprise album which was self-titled. This strategy works well particularly with artists who have large and faithful fanbases. Since, Beyonce, artists like Drake, Kanye West, and many others have used this idea. It does not look like artists are beginning to lose faith in this strategy as yet another legendary artist has released a surprise album.

According to PITCHFORK, Run The Jewels has released their highly anticipated new album titled RTJ3 a few weeks before its original release date, January 13th. The album features Danny Brown, Trina, and more. The new album is available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music right now.
