Circa Survive @ The Warfield 2/20

Circa Survive is hitting the road for their 10 year album anniversary tour and stopping in San Francisco in February! They are celebrating their album On Letting Go, which came out back in 2007. That album was responsible for their hits The Greatest Lie and The Difference Between Medicine and Poison is the Dose. Come see them tear up the Warfield alongside MeWithoutYou and Turnover, both amazing bands in their own right.

Their tour, On Letting Go, they will be showcasing their amazing album previously mentioned and their other hit songs. Most recently, the band dropped the album Descensus in 2014, which put out their notable hits Schema and Only the Sun. Previous to that the band’s hits include Get Out from the album 2010’s Blue Sky Noise and Act Appalled from their debut album Juntura back in 2005. Back when On Letting Go was first released it hit the Billboard 200, topping out at number 24. Circa Survive has been a band that has been doing big things for a while now, and at least for me they have always been on my musical radar. The vocalist, Anthony Green, has such a unique voice. It’s high tenor is amazing when coupled with the unreal talent of the guitarists, drummer, and the bassist. The five piece band has been rolling out tunes for more than the last 10 years. Lyrically, the band excels with the intricately well written songs. They mix up their sound through Green’s use of different vocal techniques sometimes using his high tenor to sing softly and melodically, but then will completely switch it up with fast-paced passionate lyrics being yelled into the crowd of band’s equally passionate fan base.

Fans of post-hardcore bands like A Lot Like Birds and Pianos Become Teeth are sure to be down for this show. Circa Survive is always an A1 band for consistently good rock music and a good time for the audience. The band’s unreal quality of music should be enough to pick up a ticket and mob on down to the Warfield this winter.
