Max And Igor Cavalera Announces Winter 2017 Tour Dates

American Sepultura fans are in luck, because founding members Max and Iggor Cavalera have just added a ton of tour dates across the United States for their world tour next year. The duo appropriately named the tour “Return to Roots 2017,” because the artists will mostly be performing one of Sepultura’s classic albums called Roots, the band’s sixth studio album released in 1996. Max and Iggor will open the American leg of the tour in February at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV, and end almost a month later in Santa Ana, CA. They will be making a total of 20 stops performing in countless major cities across the nation, including Dallas TX, Chicago IL, and Denver. Check below for a complete list of dates and venues, and a link to snag your tickets.

Fellow death metal bands Immolation and Full of Hell will be joining Max and Iggor on the road as well, for what’s sure to be an explosive performance.

In an interview about Roots with Full Metal Jackie, Max said “I think it was a one of a kind record. It was really unusual. A lot of things were unusual on this record. We were really showing the world a new way of making metal. I think it was cool. It was like even the mixing with the tribe elements and the heaviness. Roots is a very heavy album, stuff like “Spit” and “Cutthroat,” “Endangered Species,” “Straight Hate,” so it’s a very exciting album. It also has a lot of dynamics, you know, it’s stuff like “Look Away” which is a little bit slower and “Itsári,” which is the tribal song we did with the tribe.”

Currently, Max Cavalera is a prominent member in several metal bands including Soulfly and Killer Be Killed. In 2015 the brazilian artist teamed up with James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem for a special project together, and mentioned the experience in an interview about his spiritual journey making Archangel.

Catch me at your local music festival, because there's nothing better than laying back in the grass and listening to your favorite bands or discovering new ones.
