Oya Festival Announces 2017 Lineup Featuring Angel Olsen, Vince Staples and Jenny Hval

Oya Festival has announced its return in 2017, with a lineup that includes Lana Del Rey, Mac DeMarco and MØ for the Oslo bash. Øyafestivalen is an annual Norwegian music festival taking place in Middelalderparken, Oslo. The Øya Festival took the place of former Norwegian festival that was held on the island Kalvøya from 1971 to 1997 named the Kalvøya Festival and hosted legends like Frank Zappa, Jackson Browne and Nirvana on stage. Since taking over in 1999 Øya ( which means “island” grown) has erupted into a massive festival that now draws around 60,000 music lovers to Oslo. each August.

The 2017 edition will include a Club Night on Tuesday as a warm up for the four days in the Tøyen Park festival area and will host multiple concerts at many small clubs in the area. From Wednesday to Saturday the festival will begin with three stages, organic food, and merchandise stalls where attendees will be able to go shopping for records, clothes and cartoons.

Tickets are on sale now. The festival pass will give free entrance to the festival area Wednesday-Saturday and to most of the Tuesday Club Night concerts. Those Club Night and Nighttime Øya events not included in the festival pass will have tickets available at each venue. You can also buy a single day pass for one of the days in Tøyen Park.
