LISTEN: Amanda Palmer and Jherek Bischoff Release New Cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Everybody Knows”

Amanda Palmer and Jherek Bischoff have teamed up together giving their spin releasing a cover of “Everybody Knows.” The sweet sound of the piano and violin quartet add new flavor to the classic song “Everybody Knows” by the late and great Leonard Cohen. Amanda Palmer sang and played the piano for the track with the addition of the string quartet arrangement by Jherek Bischoff. The song was originally funded via Patreon by 9,408 people.

The song truly comes alive giving us a new taste to the song. The violin quartet is so peaceful and while you recognize the cover it is like a rebirth of a whole new song. The song is about much more than the music.  There are limited prints of the original artwork for the song by Vladimir Zimakov in which all proceeds benefit PEN america, an organization that defends and protects the rights writers and journalists.
