Trevor Shelley de Brauw, the guitarist from the band Pelican, has announced the release date for his first solo album called Uptown. The album will be released on February 10, 2017 through The Flenser.
According to press release, Uptown was written and recorded through a decade of time as it represents a scrapbook of Trevor’s life “ bookended by a stint on a remote tobacco farm and his return to the anxiety-ridden urban eccentricities of Chicago’s historic Uptown neighborhood“. This will be a six song album that will have a a range of tunes that will be classified from rock to experimental music, and differs from the style of Pelican. The album artwork and tracklist are listed below.
Along with the announcement, the artist released a song, “They Keep Bowing, from the album. The song can be listened to below.
With the band, there has been a release of a live album available for free download.
