WHY? announced earlier today they will release sixth album, Moh Lhean, on March 3rd via Joyful Noise Recordings. The album will mark Yoni Wolf’s seventh LP as WHY?, and first since 2012’s Mumps, Etc.

Moh Lhean is WHY?’s first home-recorded album since its 2003 landmark debut Oaklandazulasylum. Yoni Wolf’s brother Josiah helped co-produce the album. The album also features contributions from mewithoutYou’s Aaron Weiss and Son Lux.

In a teaser video for the album released today, WHY? shared an instrumental snippet of “This Ole King,” Moh Lhean’s first track and lead single. Watch it below.

WHY? will tour this spring, beginning at Cincinnati’s Woodward Theater on March 16 and concluding at the University of Wisconsin’s legendary Union South on April 22.

Since Mumps, Etc.’s 2012 release, the always prolific Yoni Wolf has kept busy, releasing two collaborative albums–2012 EP Divorcee with ex-girlfriend Anna Stewart (released under the name Divorcee), and 2016 LP Testarossa with acclaimed MC Serengeti (released under the name Yoni & Geti).

Moh Lhean will be WHY?’s first album not released through Anticon. View the album’s tracklist and cover art below.
