Thundercat Announces Winter 2017 Tour Dates

Los Angeles multi-genre bass guitarist and singer Thundercat just announced that he will be embarking on an extensive tour of North America and Europe in early 2017. The tour will mark the artist’s first headlining tour since fall of last year.

The Kendrick Lamar/Flying Lotus collaborator was supposed to be releasing a followup album to last year’s The Beyond / Where the Giants Roam before the end of the year according to producer Flying Lotus, but the only new music we have seen from the bass virtuoso so far has been “Bus in These Streets.” Perhaps the announcement of the tour means that the album is soon on the way.

The bassist will be beginning the tour with two gigs in San Francisco in mid-February before making his way across the North American continent for a month before crossing the Atlantic to Israel, from which he will play across Europe for another month until wrapping up in Belgium April 9th.
