Reunited and it feels so good as the as the great band Ride have started to work on their first new album in the past 20 years. This epic news was revealed to us via Erol Alkan since he is producing the upcoming album that is due for release in 2017. The producer tweeted a picture from the studio with Ride. The tweet continued to say “currently in the studio with ride producing their forthcoming album. Erol Alkan is known for his works of producing albums for Bloc Party, Mystery Jets, Late of the Pier, and The Long Blondes. Not only are his producing skills on point, but he records his very own music making up one half of Beyond the Wizards Sleeve who just released an album this past year.
Although we haven’t gotten a taste for the album, it will be much more satisfying than their fourth album, the 1996’s Tarantula that felt a little empty for the fans and only contained only one song by Mark Gardner. This album was released after the band had parted ways and then was removed by Creation Records just a week after the release. The band was broken up for almost 18 years until they reunited in 2014 even going on tour including landing a spot at Coachella 2015.
