Various sources have classified the band HEALTH under many different genres, from noise rock to experimental electronic to industrial to post-rock. But no one can deny that HEALTH perfectly represents the vibes of their hometown of Los Angeles. The grimy darkness and debauchery of the city of angels can be seen in every second of the band’s sinister sound.

This L.A. iniquity cannot be better represented than it is in the music video for the band’s latest single, aptly titled “L.A. Looks.” The track is off of their 3rd LP, Death Magic, which was released last summer in August via Loma Vista Records.

The video was directed by Adult Swim’s Derrick Beckles and produced by absurdist online video network Super Deluxe. The clip for the ambient, sleazy track resembles a late night public access TV hotline commercial, with grainy footage of pedo-staches, a random man flipping off the viewer, mysterious Asians, and an overwhelming amount of two women kissing.

This is not the first time the band worked with Adult Swim; earlier this year, HEALTH contributed track called “Crusher” to the Adult Swim Single Series’ Program where various artists showcase one single.
