For metal heads and rockers everywhere, the new album from Killswitch Engage is one that should, if it hasn’t, bring excitement. The album, Incarnate, came out in the spring of 2016 and is a work of pride for Killswitch Engage’s lead singer, Jesse Leach. Leach has stated that the work he did with Incarnate was his personal best, ever. Now, the band has released video for the song “Cut Me Loose” on the album. In Leach’s own words, he also described the amount of practice and sureness his voice enveloped and especially for “Cut Me Loose.”
“Cut Me Loose” is a song that illustrates the act of reflection, whether positive or ominous. The video was filmed in the late summer in a Southwestern, US dessert. Performing in the open sand, the band shows a sense of vulnerability with the video, being that there is nothing in the dessert but them. Yet, in bits and sequences a man covered in flame is shown, showing the dark side of the song that goes hand in hand with the vulnerable and bare essence of the video and song. WATCH it below…
With the recent album, touring, and videos, Killswitch Engage does not plan to take a vacation anytime soon. The band has plans to tour in all continents aside from Antarctica and Africa.
