Peter Doherty is releasing an album next month. The album’s name is Hamburg Demonstrations, and it is his most recent solo work. Doherty is the well known British rocker who also sides with the band Libertines as a frontman. Off of the new album, Doherty has released a single called “I Don’t Love Anyone (But You’re Not Just Anyone)”. Yet, he has now released another in anticipation of the album.
The new single, “Kolly Kibber” opens up Hamburg Demonstrations. The song can be taken in a few ways, but it is undeniably a fun and undemanding tune. It starts with finger picked guitar and then a steady percussion beat that gives the song a backbone. Doherty comes in after a couple measures, timing his vocals with the beats per minute. In all, the song has a playful nature that also has the listener listening for the words behind the charismatic track. Listen to it below…
