Radiohead has now made their entire discography available for streaming on Spotify.
The band had stayed off of Spotify in 2013, with Thom Yorke, the guitarist and singer, and Nigel Godrich, the executive producer, calling it “the last desperate fart of a dying corpse.” They had removed the Atoms for Peace’s Amok and Yorke’s The Eraser from Spotify, in protest to Spotify’s business model. Now they return to Spotify in order to expand their streaming service catalogue.
Slowly the band had made A Moon Shaped Pool available for streaming, then In Rainbows. Last week, their 2009 singles “These Are My Twisted Words” and “Harry Patch” were made available for streaming. A couple days ago, the band’s 2011 single “Supercollider/ The Butcher” was made available.
According to Consequence of Sound, there are a few exceptions such as the Pablo Honey outcast “Pop Is Dead” and EMI/Capitol Records-curated collector’s editions because it was released without the band’s participation.
Radiohead has recently been added to the Rock Werchter Festival lineup, which will also include bands like Linkin Park and System of a Down.
