According to New York Times, in his most recent rant, Kanye West made Beyonce, and JAY Z his targets as he expressed his frustrations at a show in Sacramento.
Kanye West fans are no strangers to his tendency to stop his show and take the time to talk about something on his mind. His comments toward about Donald Trump ruffled the feathers of fans as he stated he did not vote but if he did he would’ve voted for Donald Trump. This did not go over well with many in the crowd as they booed him.
Saturday night in Sacramento, Kanye decided to go further than discussing his views on politics. While fans were delighted to see Kanye West embrace Kid Cudi, who made a surprise appearance, they were surprised to hear how he felt about other artists.
“JAY Z call me bruh, you still ain’t call me, JAY Z call me bruh, aye JAY Z I know you got killers please don’t send them at my head, just call me, talk to me like a man.” Recently, Kanye stated that he was upset because after the armed robbery of his wife, Kim Kardashian, JAY Z did not call him on the phone.
He gave fans a behind the scenes look at what he felt was a industry politics reason for Beyonce to not attend the VMA’s. “Beyoncé, I was hurt because I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over ‘Hotline Bling,’” he said.
“Sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win,” he went on to say. “I’ve been sitting here to give y’all my truth even at the risk of my own life, even at the risk of my own success, my own career.”
He then turned the topic back to to politics when he stated, “Obama couldn’t make America great because he couldn’t be him to be who he was,” “Black men have been slaves. Obama wasn’t allowed to do this and still win. He had to be perfect. But being perfect don’t always change things”.
When Kanye chose to not follow this rant up with music, but instead leave the concert fans did not hold back. It was now their turn to vent their frustrations.
Possibly the thing to come from the show was the Golden 1 Center announcing that all concert goers would be receiving refunds, including ticket master fees.
Even while deciding to stop the show to rant, West showed he was still conscious of reactions by saying, “I’m not always going to say things the perfect way, the right way,” he said. “But I’m going to say how I feel.” He added, “Get ready to have a field day, press. Get ready, get ready. Because the show’s over.”
