My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult Announce Compilation Album Sinister Whisperz II: The Interscope Years (1992-1996) for December 2016 Release

With a name like My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, the American electronic industrial rock/disco band was destined to lead an interesting career path. They have pioneering the industrial sound since the late 80’s, even landing on the roster of a major label like Interscope. To explore this era of the band’s history, they have announced a compilation album that features fresh mixes of notable tracks from their tenure on Interscope. Aptly titled Sinister Whisperz II: The Interscope Years (1992-1996), the album is the second part in a series of compilations that cover the band’s vast career, and will be coming out Dec. 13, 2016 via the band’s very own SleazeBox Records.

As noted earlier, the record will be focusing on the “major label” years, when the Thrill Kill Kult were one of the first artists to sign with Interscope Records in 1992. The compilation includes songs from renown albums and records Sexplosion!, 13 Above The Night, and Hit & Run Holiday, as well as a fresh new mix of “After the Flesh,” which Thrill Kill Kult performed in the 1994 cult classic fantasy film “The Crow.”

The “electro-trash” outfit has been bringing blasphemous tales of sex and B-movie horror since its conception in 1987, but they really hit the radio waves in 1991 with their third album Sexplosion! and its chart topping single “Sex on Wheelz.” The band’s everpresent cinematic quality to their music has led to having their songs being featured in various television shows and movies.

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult has always offered a fresh sound that never feared to experiment, and has influenced many of today’s industrial metal acts from Marilyn Manson to the Scissor Sisters. This compilation record does not mark the end of a career like it may have for many other artists, but it merely indicates the legacy which TKK has left so far, and will hopefully continue in the future.
