In exciting news, Kate Nash has released a new song along with a video for the song, “My Little Alien.” The famed and critically acclaimed artist, actress and activist has released the song with a message within it, to rescue and adopt animals rather than buy. The video features her own new pet dog, Stella, which is a rescue animal itself.

In explanation of the song and video, the British musician states that she wrote the song to evoke a feeling of “loving the strange.” After a trip to the west of the United States, Nash explains that there she saw a UFO for the first time and that Stella, her rescue dog, was with her. At that time, Nash sees it that Stella became her best friend, and that she realized the Stella was her own little alien in herself, being a rescue animal. With the inspiration, emotion, and imagination Nash experienced, she was compelled to write “My Little Alien.”

The video is set in the west in a desert in California, not far from the experience that attracted her to the concept of the track. It’s is depicted in a desolate place that Nash asserts should convey the idea that we are all wanderers on some level and alienated within each of our own lives on some level or another.
