Neil Young Celebrates 71st Birthday with Dakota Pipeline Protestors

For nearly half a century, Neil Young has been at the forefront of his musical niché. With political themed music along with memorable tracks, Young has seemingly been musician and an activist at the same time. Hence, now celebrating his 71st birthday, Neil Young recently played amongst Dakota Pipeline activists and protestors in support of a cause against the construction of the vast pipeline.

Just a few weeks ago, Young released a video for a song titled “Indian Givers” that showed the protestors of North and South Dakota’s Standing Rock Reservation. Now, weeks later, Young still is not publicly quiet about his stances for conservation.

At the new age of 71 years old, Neil Young showcased a video of himself playing an acoustic set while being in the presence of the protestors of the Dakota Pipeline. In speculation, it is highly probable that this movement being protested will be set to go soon. With an estimated cost of $3.5 billion, the president has yet to approve the construction of the pipeline, but that has not stopped a mission of those in protest. This includes Mr. Young, who states in caption of his recent video says that “…those who damage Mother Earth/damage us all…”
