The Saharan Grammy winning band Tinariwen have just announced their upcoming 2017 North American tour. The group will be headlining starting off on March 30th in Solana Beach, CA then reaching both coasts to wrap it up in Pittsburgh on April 21st. Tinariwen have unveiled the new single “Sastanaqqam” on their upcoming album Elwan featuring Kurt Vile and Mark Lanegan.
Tinariwen’s homeland located in the mountain range between north-eastern Mali and southern Algeria has in recent years become a conflict zone.
