Kanye West back in the headlines again for his recent concert in Inglewood, California. According to PITCHFORK, Kanye West cut his concert in Inglewood, California concert short after suffering from the los of his voice. In the footage below you see and hear Mr. West say “I can’t let y’all have a show where I can’t perform for you.” Acknowledging that he did not feel that he was performing at his highest level that many of us have have seen him perform. Whether it’s a performance during The Grammys, a Festival, his Glow in the Dark tour, or his tour off of his “Yeezus” album where he brought out someone who was dressed as Jesus. In the video, he can also be heard saying “I’ll do better next time.” Which is interesting to heard from an artist who has more than twenty Grammy awards.
When it comes to videos, this is not Kanye’s first time going viral for a visual. The release of his video for “Fade” during the MTV VMA’s trended worldwide on twitter. Also, this year he released video for “Wolves” a song off the Life of Pablo album.
The crowd, filled with Kanye West fanatics, can be heard chanting “Kanye!” as the floating stage that has acted as an eye-catching visual during his Saint Pablo tour.
The song he was performing before he decided to end the show abruptly was “Only One” an emotional song dedicated to both his deceased mother and first child, North West. At first, it is an understandable assumption to have that Kanye may be getting a little emotional while performing this song.
The concert has fans and industry taste-makers talking because of the mosh pit element under-Neath the stage added into his concert. While a definite safety risk, from the looks of it fans have decided that the tickets are worth the risk.
This is not the first time Kanye has had amazing set pieces at his concerts. In 2011, Kanye West and Jay Z released a collaborative album titled “Watch the Throne” and the concert featured a floating cube where both him and Jay Z stood and performed some of their most beloved hit records. From Jesus Walks, Big Pimpin, All of the Lights, Empire State of Mind, Gold Digger, Otis, and All Falls Down.
While a frustrating moment for fans, the Saint Pablo Tour is sure to continue to sell out arenas across the United States with fans chanting and screaming “Kanye!” at every show.
Unfortunately, recently Kanye was in the headlines for something much more serious than a tour date that was ended early. Kim Kardashian West, who recently halted production on the Kardashian reality show, was robbed at gunpoint while in a hotel like building.
