Rachel Fannan is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and musician from Los Angeles. She is best known for her work as lead vocalist for the band Only You and the former co-lead vocalist for the band Sleepy Sun. Her other work is known from collaborations with UNKLE and progressive rock band Anywhere. For her solo career, Fannan has been on stage with musicians Hunter Burgan of AFI and Carla Azar of Autolux. By November 2012 she released a version of the classic song “Beautiful Dreamer” that was used for a Canon commercial.
After recently catching wind of Patreon, she has successfully released her first song on Patreon “Just to be Free.” The song is a tribute to the chaos that is happening to murdered individuals and their families in America at the hands of our own police force. This song is an ode to the calling for justice.
