Today, Halloween of 2016, marks a very special event for the music scene of Brooklyn and for heavy metal and rock fans everywhere. The iconic music venue located in Brooklyn, New York, the Saint Vitus Bar, is hosting an event that will not only be special to the mentioned fans but also special in that it will be available on livestream webcast (see below).
Performing at the legendary bar, Zakk Sabbath will end its road tour with a set on this dark, fun, and energetic holiday. The Black Sabbath cover band of Zakk Wylde, the former guitarist of Ozzy Osborne, Black Sabbath’s frontman, will take the stage at 8:30 EST and play through the night. This performance will be the first of the group since the end of their run playing with the rock group CLUTCH, whom they ended the tour and performances with just yesterday which leads Zakk Sabbath to their headlining performance tonight. Even so, the livestream of the concert will hold extra special qualities and a large audience that is a not-to-be-missed event for fans everywhere.
Zakk Wylde has been busy in 2016, touring in 40 different cities across the U.S. and Canada. Yet, this performance is perhaps going to be the most interesting. Wylde released an album last April, but he has always been known to put out music constantly. Wylde was the guitarist for Black Sabbath’s famous frontman, Ozzy Osborne, until 1994 when he went solo and now he is covering the classic, undying songs of the well known group. Wylde is also well known for his work with the Black Label Society, who had a famous performance two springs ago. Even more special, the bassist for Ozzy Osborne’s band with Wylde, Blasko, will be accompanying and a part of Zakk Sabbath. On top that of this, the drummer of Danzig and Queens of Stone Age fame, Joey Castillo, will also be a member of Zakk Sabbath tonight; thus, the true to form musicianship, experience, and rock metal nature of this concert is going to be undeniable. Are there any metal fans that would not enjoy this performance?
Along with this and adding to the set, special guests will be present. The band Ruby the Hatchet will be at the Saint Vitus Bar playing also. Moreover, the heavy metal comic and former co-host of That Metal Show, Jim Florentine, will be there. These components almost make this night of Halloween a dream for Sabbath, Ozzy, Wylde, and rock fans. The livestream element also makes this night more iconic, being widely accessible, something that most concerts do not have. Check out it out below…
